"LOST" Update
Ok, I know I'm not the only one out there obsessed with LOST, or driving myself crazy with ideas and hypotheses (sp) about the show, so here is an update. LOST returns on September 21st, and is promising a new main character. Here's what the AP is reporting about it:
"NEW YORK - There's someone else on the island. Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje will join the cast of ABC's "Lost," the network announced earlier this week. The actor will play Emeka, "a mysterious man whose presence on the island — and intentions — will be revealed" early in the upcoming second season, ABC said in a statement. "
Cool, huh? The show will of course pick up where it left off, with Michael's son in the hands of the strange island people, who are perhaps one of the biggest mysteries in the show. Sawyer, Michael, and Jin are all in the middle of the ocean having lost their boat, and Jack, Hurley, Locke, and Kate have unlocked that mysterious sealed vault. Should make for an awesome premiere. Maybe we will get two hours of it. :)

Ohhhh I can't wait! This will be so good!!!!!!!!! I have a question for you Ash, is Jack married or not? I have been peaking on the Lost site. :D
That's a mystery. ;) We know he was married at one point, but we don't know what happened to his wife. IF he is married it might make for some interesting twists, Kate would have to fall for Sawyer then. :)
Well, last we saw was Jack and his wife at their wedding... So yes, he was at one time married. Now, something might have happened since then. I'm really looking forward to the next season after the finale to this season was so disappointing. You guys got any theories about the show? What do you think of Locke? Is he like pure evil? Is he posessed?
But Jack said he WASN"T married in the next to last episode; remember he was talking to that girl? As for Locke, I don't think he's pure evil, but I think he is definitely being influenced by whatever these things are. I think he is going to become like that guy Ethan who kidnapped Claire. I'm glad that it doesn't look like "the others" are aliens, it looks like they are real people.
OH, and I also forgot to say that I really hope Kate doesn't end up with Sawyer, that would make me mad. I don't think Sawyer is that bad, but I still would like Jack and Kate to get together.
I really don't like Kate that much, she's such a pain. Well, we saw Jack get married in one episode, but he might be divorced or his wife could have died. But we know that he was married at one time.
Locke is a mystery. He seems nice in some episodes but really evil in others. It seems like he is trying to get everyone on his side, like to make sure everyone trusts him. But why???
Ok, I don't think Kate is a pain, she just always seems to be involved in everything. And she is always the one who shows up as peacemaker when arguments start too. She's too perfect sometimes!!!! But seriously, she is one of my favorites. I think Jack is divorced, because why would he say he wasn't married? Unless his wife died...
It's kind of scary, because Locke reminds so much of that Ethan guy before he went after Claire; they seem to have the same temperament or something...
You're right, Sara, Locke does remind me of Ethan.... Kate is really weird, she's partially in love with Sawyer, partially in love with Jack, partially doesn't care about anyone but the man she shot.... she wants to lead, she wants Jack to lead. She is, in my opinion, a very annoying character. I had hoped that she would die before the season ended.
Oh come on MVB, she isn't THAT bad! I like Kate and I personally think she will end up with Sawyer. Mostly because Jack is wary of her and his "romantic" history is still in question. We have alot more to find out about him. And Kate. ;)
Oh, Kate is still a pretty cool character MVB! And you have to admit that she's very pretty. ;) Do you at least like Claire? I think that Kate will probably end up with Sawyer too- but we'll see. I really like Jack though, I feel so bad for him sometimes!

Jack is probably the best character, and yes, I like Claire because she isn't so incredibly annoying!

And how WOULD you describe Kate MVB? Another chara ter that I'm getting frustrated with right now is Boone...he seems so self-confident of himself and is hanging around Locke way too much. I watched the episode about Michael and his son tonight, and there were parts in that episode where I wanted to like Locke because he seemed nice, but I still wasn't sure about him.
Sorry about you not having TV Polka Dotted Pickles; we acutally just got TV back in the late spring. But there are a few good shows that are on TV these days; alot of them are filled with junk...Lost is awesome though!
Kate is an annoying little girl who shouldn't be on the show. I wouldn't quite say that she is ugly, she's..... annoying. I don't know what to say about her, except she is a bad character. :)
Well, Boone..... Yeah, you'll see what happens to him. :)
Sara, have you seen the Boone/Shannon episode yet? Because that is one heck of a show, those two are detestable people.

MVB, Kate is very pretty and you know it! ;) I know what happens to Boone though because I watched the special they were showing of bits and pieces of the episodes. At first I thought Boone was nice because it seemed that he looked out for his sister, now he seems not to care about her. No, I haven't seen the episode with Boone and Shannon- Shannon can be quite a pain. I read on the LOST site that Sayid ends up liking her, but I keep asking myself WHY???????? Oh, and I'm so upset, because they skipped the episode about Claire!!!!!!!!! I am still upset about that, I so wanted to see her flashbacks.
Sara, stop reading the Lost sites! You'll know too much!!! You are in for a shock, when you see the Boone/Shannon episode. And there is a later episode with Boone in it that's really good. $)

I think that the island definitely has some kind of force. It must have brought the plane down. I'm not sure how it has that kind of force, but maybe "the others" created it somehow.

I think that the others could be A. scientists, B. experiments, or C. people who were on the island before the French woman and her group. I'm not sure which, though. But there's always the twist that the others might be good.... And are trapped on the island. Maybe they act like they do because they know something we don't. Very mysterious...

Maybe the "others" are people just like the castaways, that were simply "taken over" by the island or something. Kind of like Locke is becoming. ;)

I think Locke is already evil... And is very dangerous, I think he'd do anything to get what he wants. Or what the island wants...
About ther being a pastor among the castaways, I haven't seen any. It is very possible, though. Charlie, yeah, seems very committed to her, for some reason. But I don't know if she'd marry him. Which episode did you see last? Has Claire gotten kidnapped yet?
Well, the last episode I saw was about Sawyer- and I still don't get that boar thing! What was the point of that? And why was Locke telling Sawyer that weird story about his sister? But ABC has been skipping a bunch of episodes, so I missed the episode on Claire, but we saw the one after that, and then it skipped two more episodes. Also, after Locke found Claire in the woods, we didn't get to see the episode after that which showed that Claire lost her memory. Hopefully my dad will get the LOST DVD set when that comes out in a couple of weeks, because we've missed alot of good episodes!
Hey! I found an update on the LOST site of the second season!!! I'm a little annoyed that Ana-Lucia is going to show up again- I thought she was such a flirt!(She was in the second to last episode in that flashback to Jack). Well, with her on the island, then we can most definitely assume that Kate will end up with Sawyer. ;) Anyway, here it is:
This season, Jack's mistrust of Locke will grow, as he continues to question his motives and obsession in uncovering the secrets of the mysterious hatch. The fates of Sawyer, Michael and Jin will be revealed after their raft was blown out of the water by "The Others" - who at the end of last season kidnapped Michael's son, Walt. Sun will become less dependent on husband Jin and more autonomous, as she wonders whether he is still alive. Kate's back-story life as a fugitive will continue to be explored. Charlie will become even closer with Claire and her baby, Aaron, but the stash of drugs he found in a statue could seduce him back to a dark life of addiction. The cursed numbers that turned Hurley's life upside down before the crash will continue to haunt him as he begins to uncover their meaning. Shannon will decide where Sayid fits in her life while she continues to grieve over the death of her brother, Boone, and develops a growing sense of unease about the raft passengers and their fate. In addition, we discover that there is at least one more previously unknown survivor of the crash of flight #815 - Ana-Lucia (Michelle Rodriguez, Girlfight, The Fast and the Furious) -- the mysterious woman Jack met at the Sydney airport bar. And Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (Oz) joins the cast as a resident of the island whose story is one of the mysteries that will be explored as the season progresses.
The band of friends, family, enemies and strangers must continue to work together against the cruel weather and harsh terrain if they want to stay alive. But as they have discovered during their 40-plus days on the island, danger and mystery loom behind every corner, and those they thought could be trusted may turn against them. Even heroes have secrets.
Yes, Kristin, I think PHC will be very intense. But I'm doing the first two years via distance learning, so it might not be as bad. :)
Totally cool! I saw a commercial for the next season, yesterday! It begins September 29th. I can understand why Jack doesn't trust Locke, and I really, really hope that Charlie doesn't go back to his drugs! But anyway, it really sounds good!

What weird story did Locke tell Sawyer, btw?

Don't you remember that strange story? Sawyer was all riled up because that boar was constantly bothering him, and Locke told him this story about his sister and mother. His mother was really attached to the daughter, and when she died at a young age, the mother was devastated. Then this dog came along and almost "took the place" of his sister. Then after a while, the dog disappeared once his mother was comforted. Kate was there, and she responded rather sarcastically with "so you think that the dog was your sister?" Locke denied it, stating that would be silly. But what was the point in such a story? What did it have to do with Sawyer's past? By the way, if you remember, Sawyer wanted to kill that boar, but in the end when he had a chance, he didn't kill it. I'm confused...
Oh, yeah! Now I remember.... See, I think it was like the boars represented the sins in Sawyers life, I think. And that representation had something to do with the story Locke told him. He was trying to explain to him, because for some reason he knew. :) Sorry,. about that really lame answer. I don't know why Sawyer didn't kill it....

Hmmm let's see...I missed the Pilot episode, the episode on Claire, the second one about Kate, Shannon and Boone, the episode where Claire has lost her memory and Ethan is killed, and that's it so far. ABC is showing two episodes this Wednesday, and I think they'll show the rest of the episodes before the second season begins. Oh Zach, was Kate involved in something shady beforehand?
Yeah... That's why, if you had seen, I think the first episode, she was travelling handcuffed, captured by a bounty-hunter...
I got the special LOST TV Guide, that back-tracks all the previous episodes, and has spoilers for next season. But I can't tell you the spoilers, untill you've seen the rest of the episodes...
And it's a shame that you missed the episode where Ethan was killed... Because Jack did some great fighting in that episode!! :)

Well...... :) Did you see the season finale? I saw another commercial for the next season of LOST, btw. :) Very cool. I don't think I should tell you anything until you've seen the rest of the episodes, though. You know who gets killed off this season, right?
Pilot Episode:
Oceanic Airlines Flight #815 crashes, marooning 48 survivors (at least) on a remote island. Jack plays hero, tending to pregnant Claire and a wounded U.S. Marshal ( the one who had captured Kate), while Michael searches for his son, Walter. Later, Sayid builds a signal fire. Jack, Kate, and Charlie find the cockpit and the pilot. The pilot is ripped from the cockpit by something and killed. Yikes!!
Pilot Episode 2:
Sayid, a former Iraqi Republican Guard officer, leads a trek to higher ground in hopes of getting the plane's transceiver to work. They can't finish the job, though, because another distress call, spoken in French, is already transmitting- and has been for more than 16 years. Shannon translates: "Please help me......The others, they're dead. It killed them all." Also the survivors get attacked by a polar bear, that Sawyer successfully shoots and kills.
Claire's Episode:
Claire experiences major anxiety over impending motherhood- little wonder since a psychic had warned that danger surrounded the baby. Hurley, who has taken an island census, breathlessly announces that Ethan wasn't on the plane's passenger manifest- one of the series creepiest moments. The final scene of the episode is where Claire, alone with Charlie goint to the caves. Claire begins to experience pains, so Charlie runs begins to run back to the beach for Jack, but bumps into Ethan. Charlie asks Ethan to go get Jack, while he stays with Claire. So Charlie goes back to Claire and waits. And then , you know, Ethan shows up with this really wicked look, and the episode ends. So they're captured. I guess, Charlie din't put up much of a fight.
Did you see the next episode where the organized search parties begin searching for Claire. And Jack finds Charlie hung by the neck on a tree. Presumably dead. But Jack somehows beats the life into him
( by pounded his chest). But Charlie doesn't speak for the rest of the episode and the next. This was also the episode where Boone and Locke find the hatch and we learn that Jack reported to the hospital administrators that his Dad had been drunk while performing surgery, which resulted in the patient's death. That's why the two were estranged.
Claire's Second Episode:
Claire says she can't remember a thign since boarding the doomed flight. She can't remember anything or anyone. ( By the way, it was Locke and Boone who found her). Ethan threatens to kill a survivor a day unless Claire is returned to him. Then comes the great scene, where Charlie shoots and kills Ethan!
You haven't missed Kate's second episode yet. If you just saw the one about Hurley. In that episode, you see what it was Kate did (criminally that is).

Guess what? We got the DVD set of Lost!!! I watched two episodes- the one on Claire, and the Pilot Episode. Oh yes, and last night on ABC I saw the episode when Claire has her baby and Boone dies.
Cool! I watched the episode last night, too. Wasn't it kinda strange/upsetting when Sawyer wanted to hug Charlie good-bye that Charlie shyed away from him.... I mean Sawyer plays the "bad guy" and then tries to be nice and the others snub him. (He's my Mom's favorite character,btw).
I watched the special DVD that came with the special LOST edition of the TV Guide. And I got to see clips from next season. It was really strange, there was a lot of screaming, running, and stuff like that...
Meanwhile, you heard: " When the survivors explore the other side of the island, they will discover that they aren't the survivors they thought they were."
Whatever that means... Anyway, the clips were cool... And I'm so excited about the season premiere in two weeks.
Oh really? I didn't notice that! I am starting to like Sawyer alot too, I feel kind of sorry for him. I will have to watch that scene again anyway...
You know Zach, I see now why you don't like Kate so much. Her flashbacks are NOT good! She was a toughie! Maybe being on the island will help her to start her life over (lol not trying to sound like Locke here:). Now I can see why Jack is so leery of her.

Don't you think that it was weird that Locke didn't listen to Walt, when he was like "Don't open it!"
I mean, if Locke knew that Walt had special powers, why in the world wouldn't he listen to him?
I also thought that was nice that the character Rose was helping Charlie out, and they actually showed her praying to God, they never show anything like that in the show.
Yeah, I really liked the part where Rose prays with Charlie, it is really rare to see.
I've seen a bunch of different commercials too. Did you see the part in the commercial, where they showed on the side of the hatch, it is marked "quarantine."On Wednesday from 8pm - 9pm, ABC will show a LOST re-cap. Then from 9pm - 10pm will be the new episode!!
If you noticed, Locke was kinda obsessed with opening the hatch. In the finale, when Hurley yelled to Locke "don't open the hatch", Locke ran forward and set off the dynamite with a kind of crazed look. Like he was desperate to get it opened. I don't think anything they said would make him not open it....
I got another LOST TV Guide:
"You will find out in the first episode... what is inside the shaft....Indeed Locke, Kate, and Jack all venture inside, where they find something - or someone- with a connection to Jack's past..... Three or four guys on the raft don't appear in the season premiere, meaning you'll have to wait until Episode 2 to learn their fates. The guys on the raft are separated from the main group for the first part of the season."

We just saw the second Locke episode last night, and the second one with flashbacks to Sayid. I felt so bad for Locke! That was a horrible thing for his father to do. Locke does seem determined to open that hatch though...
I don't remember seeing the "quarantine" sign on the hatch though. Wait a minute! You don't think that girl will be down there do you?? I mean, the girl at the airport who was talking to Jack. I mean, I don't see how she could have gotten down there, but maybe she is the person they find.
I love the scene with Charlie and Hurley though- those two are so funny! Also, in the second Kate episode, it was funny how Sawyer claimed he was "protecting" her out in the jungle. ;)

Yeah, I felt sorry for Locke for a while.. Have you seen the episode where one of the main characters dies? My Mom and sister thought that the hatch may hold some sort of disease or something like that that the scientists ( with the French lady) wanted to contain. I don't know how that girl could get down there... unless she was stranded on another part of the island and there is a second entrance to it. Remember the shaft goes deep into the ground, we don't know how big it is or if there is another entrance... But we have been promised that we will know what is in the shaft in the first episode of the season! So we will have to wait and see....
Ummm..you mean where Boone dies? We've seen all of them now. While watching the special features, it was really funny to watch the audition tapes. Sun originally read for Kate's part(she stunk btw), and Jack read for Sawyer's part! He was a terrible Sawyer too, he's not a very great actor when he plays a mean character. ;)
I think my least favorite episode that I've seen is Hearts and Minds- the one with Shannon and Boone. That one had some pretty bad stuff in it...
Yeah, that's the episode I meant... The TV Guide says we will learn what is inside the hatch but won't understand what it means. So maybe they will find Ann Lucia in the hatch....
LOST won the Emmy ( I hate the Emmys) for best Drama series, last night!
Yes, I heard about that! I really think Naveen Andrews or Terry O'Quinn should have won for Best Supporting Actor in the Drama category...:(

Yes! Wasn't it so good Zach? Although now I am really mad at Locke for using Kate like that. He is turning into his father. That is really mysterious how that guy Jack knew ended up in the hatch- man he was scary!!! And that was really creepy when Shannon saw Walt in the woods too...

Well last night's episode had to be the worst yet. We didn't learn anything, nothing about the hatch, or about the others, except for their feet. Thrilling.......
No, I did think that was funny! It was really stupid of Sawyer to threaten her like that! Very funny though...
It was pretty disappointing...but I thought the scene with their feet was kinda spooky, I mean they were so quiet, almost like ghosts. And we do know that they have a boy with them, or a child. Did you read my LOST post on your site Zach? I was really upset on there. :D
